Lucy turns 1!

Our little Luciana made it to 1. Unfortunately she was very under the weather on the day and ended up going to bed early..and very upset! Hopefully she won't remember too much about it and hold it against us.She is now full on walking. We can't believe that she is so mobile and able to wander the house at will and find all kinds of exciting new things play with like tools and hand cream and the toilet brush.She makes us laugh and gives us plenty of joy.
Summer doesn't seem to want to end and we like it. We can still spend a little more time outdoors...unfortunately that also means continued work in the garden..which I hate but it has to be done or we'll be buried in weeds and foliage.

We are very excited to see Nanny and Grandad,aunts,uncles,cousins and friends in November.We are wondering how the flight is going to be with the halfling but we'll do our best to keep her occupied and keep our fingers crossed that she'll sleep.

Vick loves being at home with Lucy and is still making money buying and selling high end yoga clothes and shoes on e-bay. Quite surprising what people will pay for handbags too!

Just randomness!

Just a few pics from the summer. Lucy doing ssilly stuff, Vick and I finally made it to a Seattle Sounders game, Uncle Lewis bonding with the smiley one and a plate of spaghetti and meatballs!

Rocking out at the Gorge!

Lewis and I had a blast this week!... The evergreen state fair,watched alot of movies, ate alot of very tasty food and finished off the week with a concert at the Gorge to see Nickelback....it was loud but absolutely brilliant!!...well worth the 5 hours we spent in the car getting there and back. We were able to get right to the front almost and got to "feel the base" a little more! A very good show with great pyrotechnics and lights Lewis probably has a sore neck with all the headbanging that was going on!..wish we could do it all again! Thanks for coming over to see us Lewis and Clare, we had a great time!

Lucianna's latest adventures

I know its been a while everyone. It has been a hot summer and we're glad that its finally cooled down. Vick and Lucy have been enjoying their time together at home and have been enjoying not doing much. Lucy has found her way around the house and has figured out her favorite new toys......The Dishwasher, the remote control, the utensil drawer and the dog.

She is very close to walking now..in fact she took her first steps last week. Its funny watching her grow so fast and listen to her trying to form words. She has no interest in baby food any more....just grown up food!!..pizza, bacon and eggs to name just a couple.

Can't wait to see everyone soon!

I love the water!

Hi Everyone, Its summer and its very hot. I love to jump around in my new pool. I love water so much, i think I'm going to be a good swimmer someday. I'm so excited that my Mum will soon be able to hang out with me all day and all the time although I will miss spending Thursdays and Fridays with Grandpa and Grandma. I'm looking foreward to going to England sometime soon to see my other cousins and spend time with Nanny and Grandad. Till then I'll keep working on my tan and learn to walk.

Fun in Maui!

Vick andI just returned from a fantastic break in Maui, Hawaii..and what a fantastic time we had! Pro Club kindly sent us on vacation for a week.Unfortunately we had to leave Luciana behind with Grandma, Grandpa and 2 doting Aunts..I don't she missed us a bit.

We had fun snorkeling...meeting turtles, reef sharks and hundreds of fish and beautiful coral. We cliff jumped, rock climbed, paddleboarded, sunbathed and swam the week away. We enjoyed good food with good friends.So much to do, see and eat!

We both feel very rested and so glad to be home with little Lucy who while we were away discovered her tongue and how to 'Gargle'.

I just keep growing up!

We enter a new faze yet again..one of more mobility and ability to get around and get my hands on new and exciting things like the dog food, the x- box controller and I can even lick the kitchen floor now. I enjoy re arranging the books on the book shelf and trying to chew on the t.v. cable. The dog doesn't like me sucking her tail or digging my fingers in her face either.

Soon I'll be standing up right and trying to walk.But for now my crawling abilities (which are really advanced I think) will have to do.

FEED ME!

We enter a new faze!....As Lucy grows her parents are becoming more and more exhausted! So this is what it's all about?
As depicted in these fine pictures little Lucianna has graduated from a bottle of warm milk every 3 hrs to bannanas, carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans, ritz crackers and watermelon. Somedays she shouts and waves her spoon around (just like her Dad used to apparently) until she gets what she wants. Its a whole new feeding experience thats for sure. But when she's done that big smile comes back on her face and we somehow manage to forgive her litttle tantrums. Mind you Vick gets really evil when she's hungry so it's not all my genes.
New messes to clean up as well. Unfortunately Toula doesn't like baby food or crackers so she can't help.

She continues to be the light in our lives though and makes us laugh everyday. We just hope we can keep up with her!. The good news is that she loves her crib and stays in it all night!

Fog on the Tyne!!!

Ah jost 'ad a wigged taim in Newcastle laik! Steve and I got to have a whole weekend hanging out on the Tyne and enjoyed every moment. We were caught in gale force winds and pelting rain on the beach front (see pic - i stupidly left my memory card in my laptop at work so didn't have a proper camera with me so these are from my phone) moments after we had a hot chocolate with cream, my cream was stolen by a huge gust of wind and ended up somewhere up the coast. We ate loads of rubbish and hung out with all his friends up there. Its great place to hang out and Steve is quite the celebrity 'Cockney Steve' is his stage name. Everyone made me feel so welcome. I plan to go back as soon as I can. I was so sad to leave and missed my first train on purpose because I wanted to stay a bit longer :o)

We all love food!

We made some tasty items on Sunday and thought we'd share. Janeens new camera is pretty nice and she kindly agreed to take pictures of my food for my new website thats coming soon. More pictures of my menu items coming soon!!!

Time flies!

Its been a while since we last updated..sorry for the delay. Life is very busy...we continue to juggle work schedules, social events and time together. But life is good and Lucy continues to grow each day. She is of course getting very close to crawling. She gets quite frustrated at times that she can't moter foreward. The best she can manage is to roll around and flip over as many times as she can in order to get to where she's going. She now also has a play saucer that she likes to sit in and bounce up and down in. She loves it but still likes to have time on the floor. She has her way of letting you know when she wants to "change over".
She's learning how to pose for pictures too. Everytime we point the camera in her face she just"smiles"..it's like she knows exactly what to do.
The weather continues to be cold and wet which isn't helping Lucy's cold much. She's also teething and so we give her some babies Tylenol...which she loves.
We are looking foreward to warmer weather so we can venture outside a little more. There's a ton of trails around our town and can't wait to take her on a few runs with us.

We are looking foreward to having more visits from friends and family this year. Tim is coming to see us in May and then Aunty Clare also at the end of May. We love having visitors and we're so glad that we have a house big enough for our friends and family to come and stay. We don't enjoy having a mortgage but what can you do?

Vick has a pretty nasty hip injury right now and so she may not be able to run in the Boston Marathon as she had planned. She hasn't been able to train and is a bit down about it. Hopefully she'll bounce back and will be able to run it next year. She starts playing Soccer again tonight..Which I'm glad about because she's a good player and loves it. She's got new football boots and is ready for action!

So life is still good and challenging and enjoyable. Again we are looking foreward to warmer sunnier weather so we can get outside and work on our garden....and hopefully go on a mole killing spree. I may lock Toula up foer 2 weeks and starve her and turn her into a crazed violent animal and let her loose on the moles!....I don't know if she has it in her though.
